Interview With Saeko Ehara

Why do you like glitter so much?

-Kirakira (glitter) is the source of my inspiration. When I was a child, I always loved collecting Kirakira cards from my favorite anime, stickers, toys, acrylic jewels, and small glassworks. As I gazed at my little treasures, I would lose track of time. Even now, when I encounter something Kirakira, it brings back the same excitement I felt as a child. Kirakira is not only my primary means of expression but also a reflection of my enduring enthusiasm.

How is your work for Objkt One different from your previous work for the "trader" collection?

-The significant departure from my previous work as a "trader" with "Vivi - -Crystal Fairies" is my decision to create only three "Jewel Angels" right from the outset. "Daisy – Jewel Angels" represents both the first and final Jewel Angels on the Tezos platform.

Within this series, I have Rose (pink), Daisy (yellow), and Iris (blue), each of which is launched from entirely distinct platforms.

Looking ahead, as the range of card works expands, I envision the possibility of engaging in exchanges among collectors. Therefore, I have resolved to reintroduce my card works within the "trader" collection.

Do you play trading cards?

-I no longer actively engage in trading card games, but I had a couple of cardboard boxes filled with trading cards in my childhood. I still vividly recall the happiness that washed over me when I traded cards with my classmates or when I managed to acquire a rare card. Even today, I feel a surge of excitement whenever I search for cards from that era online, browse through them, or visit a store where they are available for sale.
